So I've Started My Novel
Today I began preliminary work on my novel. I don't expect to begin the actual writing of it for another five or six months, but until then, I'll be writing about it in a notebook completely dedicated to this story. Currently, I am writing character sketches and brainstorming on various ideas.
I'm quite excited about this story. While it would be cool if people could one day read it (and be inclined to read it!), I am primarily writing this novel for my own entertainment and experience. To summarize it without giving anything away, this story is about peer pressure and the adverse effects it can have on budding young adults. Though this is a realistic theme, did I mention that this will be a fantastic story? It has gargoyles!
Another *possibly* interesting facet of it is that the hero and the villain are one and the same person!
Perhaps I'll update here with progress reports on my novel. If at a year from now, October 17th, 2007, I have not completed my novel, I have been slacking. A thousand smelly curses on me if I don't finish it by then!
